The focus of the Emergency Medical Technician course is to provide knowledge in basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. The successful student will possess the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. Emergency Medical Technicians will be trained to perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.
Community Ambulance Health Science Center courses are approved by the National Registry for EMT's and the Southern Nevada Health District.
